The Garden Suite has a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, a large living area and dining area. Each bedroom comes with a plush queen bed, tv and fireplace.
Amenities
Each bedroom and living area is equipped with a fireplace for cold winter nights. Every bedroom and living area has either a ceiling fan or standing fan. We do not have air conditioning because at 6,500 feet we are in the high mountains and overnight temps generally are in mid 50's. The only time of the year that is hotter is May and early June before that rain start. All apartments are fully equipped for your arrival. We provide enough of the standard amenities such as soap and kitchen oils and spices to get you started for a few days. If you need additional supplies of TP, paper towels, etc... there are many stores within a short walk that you can use to refresh your initial supply.
Water
The Garden Suite apartment is equipped with two filtration systems, UV and Carbon filtration for all the water in the home including showers, sinks and dishwashers. Then a Reverse Osmosis filtration system for drinking water via a tap is installed in the kitchen. UV Filtration will remove pesticides, contaminants, fungus, viruses, and other organic materials. Reverse Osmosis will remove any remaining bacteria in the water.
Arrival and Departure
There are two airports within 1.5 hours of San Miguel, BJX (Leon/Silao) and QRO (Queretaro). We have a service that can arrange for pickup and drop off, the excellent folks at Follow Me Tours (https://www.fmtours.mx) are very prompt and reliable (info@fmtours.mx). Your other option is Mexico City where you have many more non-stop flights from around the world. To travel from MEX airport you can take a bus or have a service such as Follow Me Tours drive you. The buses are excellent, very comfortable and luxurious. Buses run from the station at the airport to Queretaro (then a taxi/Uber into San Miguel) and there are a couple a day direct to San Miguel on ETN (etn.com.mx). The trip generally takes 3-4 hours but traffic can extend that of course.

The Garden Suite is located on Prolongacion Aldama. The neighborhood is mixed with both Mexicans and Norte Americano's. It's incredibly safe and well traveled. It's a 2 minute walk to a small bodega, a 5 minute walk to Cinco de Mayo and it's tortillerias, fruit and taco stands. It's a 10 minute downhill walk to Salida Celaya with many restaurants such as Rustica and Companio and many more. It's a 20 minute downhill walk to the Jardin with the famous church.
Thankfully San Miguel de Allende is VERY walkable. There is really no need to rent a car for getting around San Miguel as we have easy access to taxis and Ubers. If you do want to travel to places like Zandunga or Antotonilco or cities farther away you can either rent from a local agency or hire a driver. We recommend Follow Me Tours (fmtours.mx) for trips to other cities or the airports. The bus system in Mexico is fantastic with nearly hourly service to Queretaro or Mexico City.
